Jpixx did things the old fashioned way (stop motion animation vs. After Effects) to send some holiday cheer to Norfolk Southern’s contacts, staff, clients and friends. This film, at just over a minute long, contained 1,488 photographs of the train and other objects moving ever so slightly to create the effect. Real hands touched every frame and became covered with sap, chalk powder, tinsel and Jpixx headquarters smelled of pine for days. This got everyone in the Christmas spirit way earlier than we ever think about Christmas. Check out the making of video for some insight into the process.
