Jpixx 2024 Award Season

Jpixx – a small, woman-owned, creative video agency in Hampton Roads – adds to their award collection as they recognize a year of growth and innovation. Taking home a variety of gold, silver, and bronze titles along with accolades published in local news outlets, Jpixx continues to #CaptureLifeCreatively as they prepare for their twelfth year as a full-time agency stronger than ever.

In March, Jpixx was featured in an article by the Virginia Small Business Development Center, titled “SBDC’s business know-how + creativity = Jpixx success”. As active members of the local community, co-owners Jon & Teviya Abrahams never pass up an opportunity to spread their kindness and knowledge to others in the creative field.

Not one month later, Jpixx received their win of the 8th Annual CoVa BIZ Magazine Best of Business Award, taking home Gold in the Best Commercial Videographer category Nominated by clients and members of the community, this signifies CoVa BIZ win number five for Jpixx.

Over the summer, Jpixx submitted two videos to the Telly Awards. Their “Night for the Fight” narrative video for nonprofit Roc Solid Foundation’s annual fundraiser gala in 2023 won Gold in the category of General Live Events and Experiences. Official certificates and the iconic Telly statue were distributed to key players in the office to commemorate such a milestone and social media congratulations were shared with Roc Solid and friends.

In addition to the previously mentioned Gold award, Corazón Latino Inc. submitted a video made by Jpixx to the Telly Awards and won Silver in the category of DEI: Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. Jpixx and partners Stacy Whittle and Felipe Benitez, in tandem with the USDA Forest Service and JEDI, worked tirelessly over the course of a year to produce this short film about the importance of equity and diversity in national forests which included trips to Alaska, Montana, Puerto Rico, New Mexico, and more.

As the cherry on top, Corazón Latino’s “Voices of JEDI in the USDA Forest Service” also won a Bronze Anthem Award in the Education or Literacy Platform category. Add  more client submitted awards (HDR VTRC, Pinnacle Festevents Juneteenth, HRSD NACWA)

In September, Jpixx was recognized as a Summit Creative Award winner across three categories: Interactive Media, Education Video, and Travel/Tourism/Nature Video. The Summit International Awards receives submissions from 27 countries, making it a leading authority in evaluating creative excellence. Roc Solid’s 2023 “Night for the Fight” video took home Gold, the City of Suffolk’s 2024 tourism campaign was awarded Silver [previously listed as Bronze on the Summit website], and Corazón Latino’s “Voices of JEDI” received Bronze, marking this as Corazón Latino’s third award with Jpixx this year.

Upon announcement of their wins on social media, the official Summit Awards Facebook page reposted Jpixx’s celebratory video and congratulated them on a successful award season. All clients and team members had been informed of this monumental success and joined in on the congratulations via Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin.

Recently, Jpixx successfully produced yet another “Night for the Fight” video for Roc Solid in the spring of 2024, and their team just wrapped production on a second Suffolk Tourism campaign for their “Explore Downtown Suffolk” series.

Shortly after the announcement of the Summit Awards, Jpixx received word that they had won not one, not two, but THREE Gold MUSE Awards for the same submissions mentioned above. The MUSE Creative Awards is a “prestigious international advertising awards platform, celebrating excellence and innovation in the realms of creative design, advertising, and digital media”. The award honors the hard work that goes into creating a narrative that leaves lasting impacts on audiences – one of Jpixx’s core missions and values.

Finally, to wrap out the 2024 award season, Jpixx was notified of their triple win with the Davey Awards, the goliath of creative recognition. After collecting three gold awards across three other award programs, Roc Solid’s “Night for the Fight” 2023 was awarded a Silver Davey, and Corazón Latino’s “Voices of JEDI” and Suffolk’s 2024 tourism campaign took home Gold.
