Spy Ship – Trust No One!

As you may remember from back in March, Jpixx won a Silver ADDY award for last years’ Spy ShipNauticus brought us back again with Maverick Marketing to create videos for this years’ Spy Ship exhibition, Operation Achilles Heel, starring Ethan Marten and Robert Shepherd.

This year, Spy Ship takes a more dramatic turn.  Set in North Korea during the 1950’s, participants submerge themselves in detective tasks while navigating through the Battleship Wisconsin chasing spies.  Check out the teaser trailer:

Jpixx wins ADDY Award

Jpixx attended the ADDY Awards (conducted by The Advertising Federation of Hampton Roads), at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) on Saturday and won a silver Addy for the Nauticus Spy Ship piece that was done with Maverick Marketing.

Grow took home a heavy sack of awards for the Burberry Kisses campaign including the coveted Best in Show. The Jpixx team enjoyed being in the know about the work after helping them with a video for the promotion of it.

The night was nicely organized by Kristen Brown of the Ad Club and her crew at Require which included a pre-party with an Ad work viewing at the beautiful MOCA atrium and the awards show took place in the theater.

The after party continued at MOCA with a champagne toast and DJ. Of course we took advantage of the photo booth shots.

2009 ADDY HR Promo Video

I took on the Creative Chair role leading up to the 2009 ADDYs, and it was a whirlwind of an experience. We produced a ton of video promotional content, and this kind video kind of recaps it all. Basically, the premis is this. An Ad Epidemic has swept the land. A virus was systematically removing the creativity from the world, adversely affecting the advertising industry. It was crazy complicated and high-concept, but we had a fun time splicing the edited footage with live actors from the show.
