Hampton Roads Students Reached Higher for College Signing Day
College Signing Day was a major success for college bound students in the Hampton Roads area. More than 1,500 soon-to-be college freshmen packed the Ted Constant Convocation Center last week to celebrate their commitment to Reach Higher. First Lady, Michele Obama, started the Reach Higher initiative to inspire students to complete their education past high school through a professional training program, community college, or four-year college or university.
Jpixx, in partnership with the ACCESS College Foundation and Rubin Communications, was in the mix capturing all of the excitement via Facebook Live. Shaggy, radio host and music director for Z104, hosted the event while several key speakers provided words of wisdom to the students including:
