Smooth Sailing – A weekend Norfolk won’t forget!

Who you gonna call when the biggest celebration comes to town?

We’ve been telling its story for more than a decade — long enough that when Festevents brought Sail250 and Juneteenth into the same weekend as the festival’s biggest anniversary yet, there was really only one place our crew belonged: right in the middle of it.

Twenty-eight tall ships sailed in from around the world for Sail250, marking 250 years of the nation’s story. Juneteenth was honored throughout downtown Norfolk. And Harborfest, now half a century old, pulled one of the largest crowds in its history onto the waterfront. Three occasions, one weekend, a lot of ground to cover.

We ran it the way we run every project – to the max: drones in the air, livestreams rolling, our booth open on the water, and an edit bay turning the day’s best moments into something people could watch before the fireworks even cleared the sky.
