The Grand Illumination Parade in Downtown Norfolk is a beloved tradition, marking the official start of the holiday season. This year’s theme, Retro Wonderland, will wash the crowd in a wave of festive nostalgia. On Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 7 PM the Grand Illumination Parade will follow a 2-mile route through Downtown Norfolk!

If you’re unable to attend the Grand Illumination Parade in person, don’t worry! In partnership with DNC and Cox, we will be producing a full livestream of the event. You can tune in on Facebook Live (@DowntownNorfolk) on Saturday, November 23 at 7 PM. The broadcast will offer a multi camera view of the parade, with marching bands, floats, and behind-the-scenes action. Joining the broadcast once again is local news anchor April Woodard, who will bring her expertise and charm to the coverage. Bobby Hollywood is back again to bring that crowd energy to livestream!
