We got a lot of HOT footage from last year’s East Coast Surfing Championship – and we were poised to do the same in 2011, but hurricane Irene put a damper on the 49th annual event, leaving us with a rag tag crew to cover what was left of the competition.

Sometimes while shooting photos – I sneak a bit ‘o video in the mix – and I was able to do just that at my friend Fareine’s beautiful hillside wedding in Charlottesville, VA.This song’s been stuck in my head for about a year, and I didn’t really have enough romantic video to go lovey
This is the winning submission to the 2010 48-Hour Film Project – Hampton Roads. The time period happened to start while we were concluding our vaca in the Far East, so I was able to grab a few shots as we passed through a Taiwanese market to the airport. Then, some guerilla shots at the
Jpixx had the pleasure of diving into the corporate recruiting field with this nice piece on First Midwest Bank, based out of Chicago, IL. After two years of making ADDY videos, I think I finally got one right. Simple, short and sweet – and a commentary on the advertising industry. Special thanks to Ray Buchanan for creating the gigantic props (again) and to our actors who came together on a Saturday afternoon just a few days before the event.

Jon photographed our wedding almost ten years ago at the Naval Hospital officers club in Portsmouth. His work that day is something that we treasure, see, and embrace every day. It is a reminder of those who shared our incredible day with us, some of whom are not with us anymore, making their joy and captured liveliness all that more special. I know his work since then has served the same for all those he has joined with in photo and film.
Simply put. Hands down. THE best video company (crew) to work with in Hampton Roads!
Incredible company, amazing people!! Jpixx is truly the best of the best.
We have been working with Jon for over a year now and have been very impressed with him and his entire team. Jon and the other photographers are skilled, creative, dependable and a delight to work with. The photos and video we receive from Jpixx truly capture the essence of all the events at MacArthur Center and help us tell the story to our corporate office.
We were touched by Jpixx' care to align with our plans, while offering valuable suggestions and input to enhance the project. Not only were the members professional, they were also FUN! We had a blast working with them and we so very pleased with the product. We can’t wait to work with them again!
